A Montana Independence Day

Happy 4th of July to all our family and friends!

Ennis, Montana, really knows how to roll out an Independence Day parade! What can be better than American flags, horses, mules, horse drawn wagons, diesel truck drawn wagons, clowns, pretty girls, guns, more horses, old cars, old trucks, more pretty girls, more horses, folks lining the main street having a great time, loads of food, more horses, more guns, and did I mention the pretty girls?

I’ll let the photos of our wonderful day in Ennis speak for themselves.

Folks in Ennis, Montana, sure know how to throw an Independence Day parade!

Pipers were struttin' thier stuff.

There were small horse drawn wagons...

LARGE horses pulling wagons...

And VERY LARGE horses haulin' big wagons.

There were pretty girls walking...

Pretty girls (with guns!) on horseback...

And pretty girls haulin' their men down the street with ropes around their necks! (Dope on a rope??)

A big truck with a beautiful paint job...

Haulin' (look carefully) a smaller truck.

What's a parade without clowns?

And even more clowns...

There were classic cars like this beauty.

And wonderful vintage cars...

More vintage cars full of folks having a great time...

And, not to be outdone, a vintage car with a live band aboard!

Lots of folks lined the main street of Ennis, Montana, to enjoy this beautiful summer day and parade.

A lucky dog got to ride in the parade...

And Independence Day 2007 ended with our exhausted beagle Bodie taking up his usual space on the sofa!

G & J,
Loved the parade pix! I'm sending this to Chris & Amy! Loved the "Dope on a Rope" line, and the semi pulling the toy dump truck!
